Architecture of Thailand

Updated: Feb 15, 2018

It’s hot as blazes in Bangkok; but, that didn’t deter me from taking a break from my job of sourcing new factories and absorbing the hustle and bustle of this exotic country. Entire structures covered in ceramic mosaic pieces to never-ending spires that are the brightest gold I have ever seen. There are literally thousands of temples scattered across Thailand and each one is unique. A visual overload of shapes, colors and textures are bound to boggle the mind.

The Buddhist temple Wat Pho is home to the renown 151-foot-long gilded Reclining Buddha. It’s also home to the school of Thai medicine and is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. I didn’t get a massage here. But, I did at the airport. Over the years, I have learned to take advantage and enjoy the things that are presented to us.
